Conventional pizza boxes occupy excessive refrigerator space, forcing consumers to either lose shelf efficiency or transfer leftovers to plastic secondary containers. This results in unnecessary material waste and consumer inconvenience. Current designs lack a structural mechanism to reduce this footprint while maintaining the original wall height.
BoxCycled is a reconfigurable pizza box that converts from a standard transport configuration into a compact storage form without transferring the contents. By utilizing predefined fold and separation lines, the box footprint is significantly reduced while the original vertical structure remains intact.
The conversion is achieved by separating the lid panel and removing a removable portion of the blank. Internal fold portions then allow the base to overlap and reposition, securing the structure in a reduced-footprint configuration. This transformation is sequential and permanent.
This design is intended for compatibility with standard manufacturing processes, seeking to minimize production changes. As an IP holding company, BoxCycled licenses patent-pending designs to manufacturers and their brand partners to provide space-efficient packaging solutions.
